Sector:Electric Power Generation

Hydroelectric Power Plant

ARKUN DAM & HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT
Environmental impacts and OHS system establishment and effectiveness within the scope of the construction phase within the framework of IFS performance criteria and national legislation requirements.
Explanations about the project:
It is located on the Çoruh River on the Erzurum - Artvin provincial border. It has a total installed power of 245 MW with 3 main power plants with 78 MW capacity and 2 environmental turbines with 5.4 MW capacity. With 14 km of energy tunnel, it is the project with the longest energy tunnel among Enerjisa Production projects.
YAMANLI II HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT
Environmental, social impacts and OHS system establishment and effectiveness within the scope of the construction phase within the framework of IFS performance criteria and national legislation requirements.
Explanations about the project:
The two-stage construction activities of the Yamanlı project, located in the Göksu branch of the Seyhan River on the Adana border, started in May 2011. The power plant was commissioned in the first quarter of 2016 with an installed power of 82 MW.
KÖPRÜ DAM & HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT
Environmental impacts and OHS system establishment and effectiveness within the scope of the construction phase within the framework of IFS performance criteria and national legislation requirements.
Explanations about the project:
Köprü Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant is located on Seyhan River within the borders of Kozan province of Adana province. The dam has a total installed power of 156 MW with RCC body and two 78MW Francis type turbines. The construction of the project started in 2009 and was completed in the first quarter of 2013.
KAVŞAK BENDİ HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT
Environmental impacts and OHS system establishment and effectiveness within the scope of the construction phase within the framework of IFS performance criteria and national legislation requirements.
Explanations about the project:
With its concrete facade rockfill dam structure, Kavşakbendi project has an installed power of 191 MW with 3x62 Francis and 1x5.4 MW environmental turbine. The construction of the project, located on the Seyhan River in Adana, started in 2008. The power plant is Enerjisa's highest installed power project on the Seyhan River. The annual electricity production of the plant is around 766.1 Gwh.
ÇAMLICA III HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT
Considering IFS and EBRD performance requirements, legal requirements, ICOLD requirements; System installation and surveillance activities were carried out within the framework of environmental social impacts, biological diversity, OHS system, ESG conditions. Periodic audits of the integrated management system (EN ISO 9001, EN ISO 14001, EN ISO 50001, ISO 45001) are carried out.
Explanations about the project:
Çamlıca III HEPP was established in Yahyalı district of Kayseri province in the Central Anatolia Region. Çamlıca III HEPP, which is in the class of medium-head power plants, has a 50m high RCC dam body. The power plant, which was commissioned in 2011, has an annual production capacity of 94.47 Gwh.
OTLUCA HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT
Considering IFS and EBRD performance requirements, legal requirements, ICOLD requirements; System installation and surveillance activities were carried out within the framework of environmental social impacts, biological diversity, OHS system, ESG conditions. Periodic audits of the integrated management system (EN ISO 9001, EN ISO 14001, EN ISO 50001, ISO 45001) are carried out.
Explanations about the project:
Otluca HEPP facilities located at the Anamur district of Mersin province are the power plants with the largest installed capacity in the portfolio of Akfen Renewable Energy Inc. The Otluca 1 regulator on the Anamur Stream and the Boğuntu regulator on the Boğuntu Stream fall water to the power plant located at the same point. The water discharged from Otluca 1 - Boğuntu HEPP is converted in Otluca 2 regulator and fallen to Otluca 2 plant through a water transmission structure. Otluca HEPP facilities consisting of a combination of 3 different systems, are composed of Otluca 1 and Boğuntu HEPPs as well as Otluca 2 HEPP facilities, where the released water is transmitted. The power plant, which was commissioned in 2011, has an annual electricity generation capacity of 224 Gwh.
