Stakeholders

Stakeholder;
● They are the parties with which the business is directly or indirectly related, affected by or affecting the organizations (Baron,2000:571).
● Person or group that affects or is affected by business success (Freeman 1984:25)
Nowadays, the number of parties that businesses are in contact with has increased and the relationships have become quite complex. According to Freeman, the stronger the relationships with the non-business groups, the easier it will be to achieve common goals, otherwise, as the relationships deteriorate, reaching common goals will become difficult. This approach constitutes the basic premise of stakeholder theory. Stakeholder theory is primarily a strategic management concept. The goal of stakeholder theory is to help the organization strengthen its relationships with its internal and external environment to develop competitive advantage. In order to better understand the stakeholder theory, it is necessary to get to know the stakeholders in the internal and external environment of the organization more closely. Internal environment of the organization; It covers all levels of management, employees, and organizational culture. The operating environment includes the people and institutions (customers, suppliers, competitors, public administration, etc.) with which the organization is in contact in the sector. The external environment, on the other hand, includes the area outside the organization's internal and operational environment. Macroeconomic environment, international environment, cultural environment, technological environment, demographic environment are within the scope of external environment. Within the framework of these explanations, it is possible to classify the stakeholders in two groups,"internal stakeholders" and "external stakeholders”. The anticipated stakeholders, but not limited to the following, are listed below.
Internal Stakeholder
● Shareholders
● Managers
● Employees
External Stakeholder;
● Customers
● Customer Spokesperson
● Suppliers
● Rivals
● Media
● Financial Institutions
● Society
● Civil Society Organizations
● Government
